**Parking Information/Tips**
- Friday will be your most challenging day for parking. If you park
several blocks away in the evening you can walk with other participants
to your car -
Unrestricted Street Parking:
Around Dolores Park (Parking can be difficult to find here)
Dolores St. between 18th and 20th
20th St. between Church and Dolores
18th St. between Church and Dolores
19th St. between Dolores and Guerrero St.
Cumberland between Dolores and Guerrero St.
Oakwood between 18th and 19th
***Always check street signs as parking rules and restrictions change
frequently***
Street Parking:
Most is metered (M-Sat) or 2-hour parking (M-F). DPT checks regularly
and does ticket if you have exceeded 2 hours in a space or have
not curbed your tires (even on streets with just a slight grade).
If you plan to move your car every 2 hours, make sure to move your
car into a space on a different block after the 2 hours (they can
ticket cars that move from one spot to another on the same block).
***Always check street signs as parking rules and restrictions change
frequently***
Parking lots:
There are two metered lots in the Castro (I have never used these
so I am not familiar with them)
17th & Castro (metered lot)
18th & Collingwood (metered lot)
BART:
it is a lovely 8 block walk from BART (about 1 mile). Although it
is a relatively safe neighborhood, it is always best to walk with
another person. Best route: exit 16th St. BART. Walk up 16th towards
Valencia. Turn left on Valencia and walk to 18th St. (2 blocks).
Turn right on 18th St and walk 6 blocks.
There are other public transportation options - go to 511.org to
plan a trip.
Upon your request we will provide
you with carpooling information with other participants (if available).
